Kanye West has been real busy on Twitter lately and some think his constant rants are all part of the publicity tour for an album dropping on February 11. Recently, though, Kanye decided to tweet about his belief that Bill Cosby is innocent, spurring a huge response from Twitter and an angry one from Gloria Allred.
According to Allred, Kanye West needs to stick to rap and stop talking about his feelings on the Bill Cosby accusations. This came after Kanye took to Twitter to say, “Bill Cosby Innocent.” Allred is currently representing Cosby accuser Judy Huth and says that Kanye’s outburst was uncalled for.
“Kanye West has a lot of nerve to have tweeted ‘Bill Cosby innocent!’” she told Radar. “I doubt that he has spoken to Andrea Constand, the alleged victim in the criminal case in which Mr. Cosby is charged with aggravated indecent sexual assault or that he has detailed knowledge of the evidence that the prosecutor may have.”
Some question Kanye West’s timing with the tweet. West made his opinion on the dozens of women accusing Cosby of several crimes including sexual assault and rape just days before the release of his highly publicized new album. This wouldn’t be the first time Kanye has pulled a wild stunt just ahead of his album release and it isn’t even the first one he’s pulled for this specific musical offering.
Kanye just resolved a huge Twitter feud with fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa after he mistook Khalifa’s common Twitter use of the initials “KK” to be a slam on his wife Kim Kardashian. It turns out that Kanye popped off before knowing the truth and has been backtracking ever since.
