Lady Gaga may not be performing the half-time show at Super Bowl 50 but she still has a very important role. The superstar singer and actress is slated to sing the National Anthem before the Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos matchup starts. No one is more excited about singing the anthem than Lady Gaga herself, who claims the honor is “a dream come true.”
Gaga has a big month in February and Us magazine dished on all the details. In addition to the Super Bowl pregame performance, Gaga is also slated to perform at the Oscars and the Grammys. It seems that the “Applause” singer is most excited about her Super Bowl performance.
When speaking about her Super Bowl performance with NFL.com, Lady Gaga said, “I’ve always wanted to sing the National Anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl, and for it to be the Super Bowl, it is the ultimate…”
As for the rest of the show, Bruno Mars, Beyonce and Coldplay are slated to heat things up during halftime. Not to mention what most fans are there to see, the matchup between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos. Lady Gaga is looking forward to the game but won’t divulge which team she wants to win. Being that Gaga is a New York native, it could be either team and there are no clues on social media as to who she might be favoring either.
Will you be tuning in to Super Bowl 50 early enough to watch Lady Gaga perform the National Anthem?
