Ronda Rousey is the top women’s fighter in the UFC. There are very few people who would argue that. The UFC’s first Women’s Bantamweight title holder has been making some claims lately. Rousey sparked a debate as to whether or not she could beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a no-rules fight.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. sparked a feud with UFC fighter Ronda Rousey last year when he claimed that he didn’t know who she was. Rousey told reporters that Mayweather insulted her with the comment because there was no way he could be unaware of who she was. First of all, she has been one of the most popular fighters in the UFC for a few years. On top of that, Mayweather has signed a few UFC fighters to his company so he has to know who’s who in the business.

In July, Rousey and Mayweather were up against each other for the ESPY Award for Best Fighter. When Ronda Rousey was announced the winner of the ESPY trophy, she took that opportunity to throw a figurative punch right back at “Money” Mayweather. Rousey said during her speech, “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once, I’d like to see him pretend to not know who I am now.”

In a recent “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit, Rousey was asked if she though she could beat Floyd Mayweather. She answered that in the boxing ring, she could not. In a no-rules fight though, Rousey thinks she can beat Mayweather and a lot of people seem to agree.
