Sinead O’Connor is best-known for her 1990 hit song, “Nothing Compares 2 U.” Since then, not much has been reported about the singer, who lives in Ireland. However, fans were worried for the musician on Sunday because of a disturbing Facebook post. Sinead O’Connor wrote what appeared to be a suicide note, which resulted in many reporting her post to Facebook and authorities going to check on the singer.

On Sunday, Sinead O’Connor wrote a long post on Facebook. In part, the suicide note read,

“There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear. What was done to me this week was appalling cruelty… after everything I’ve been put through and been forced to go through alone… This week has broken me. The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose.”

Sinead O’Connor added,

“If I wasn’t posting this, my kids and family wouldn’t even find out. Was dead for another fortnight since none of them bother their hole with me for a minute. I could have been dead here for weeks already and they’d never have known.”

The singer also wrote in her Facebook post that she was not at home. Sinead explained that she was in a hotel, checked in under another name. However, authorities were able to locate her and paid her a visit, according to Breaking News. The website reported that law enforcement checked on Sinead O’Connor and that she is “safe and sound.” The news outlet also informed readers that the musician is receiving medical treatment.

There is currently no additional information about Sinead O’Connor. Since Breaking News is an international website and unheard of to most in the United States, it is unclear if the reporting can be trusted or not.

Highlightzz will continue to post updates on Sinead O’Connor as details become available.
